Who doesn’t love a FREE trip to the zoo?
Check out Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. It’s in our neck of the woods on the Southside of Atlanta but it’s worth the trip if you’re not too far away. Although it resembles a zoo, it’s actually so much more!
According to their website…
Noah’s Ark is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Animal Sanctuary dedicated to bringing children and animals together with the purpose of providing unconditional love, unconditional service and a future full of hope.
- There are over 1,500 animals on 250 acres of land!
- It’s a safe haven for abused, neglected or unwanted animals.
- They really do have lions, tigers, and bears!

We’ve been a few times and it’s always fun. There are peacocks, roosters, ducks, and birds walking and flying around as you go through. You’re even able to touch some of the animals, at your own risk of course (we always pass on that option 🙂 )
It costs roughly $33,000 a month to feed all of the animals. I actually never knew that until now. What I did know was that because it’s such a beautiful place with a special God given purpose, I’ve always wanted to donate anyway. So here’s how YOU can help. They accept monetary donations but they also have a long list of much needed items that might be laying around your house. Check it out here.
