Flashback Friday: Strawberry Pickin’ 2014

FBF- Strawberries

Wow! Time sure does fly by! Last year we were only a family of 3; Camden was just over 1 and barely walking. After hearing about Southern Belle Farm from a friend, I eagerly asked Austin if he would join us for a visit. He gave me that sideways look and said, “Do we have to go?”

I already envisioned his response and could actually finish his sentences if I wanted to. Of course he came up with alternate activities followed by the series of other questions and comments listed below…

-It’s so hot outside! Do we have to go?!

-Camden can barely walk so that means I’ll have to carry him. Do we have to go?!

-Don’t we have strawberries in the fridge already? Or better yet, let’s go to the air-conditioned store and buy as many as you’d like. So, Do. We. Have. To. Go. ?!

You gotta love our relationship. You see, he’s the ying to my yang or better yet, the ‘no’ to my ‘yes’ lol. Guess who won that battle though? ME and I have the pictures to prove it! 🙂

On to the details of the farm…

Southern Belle Farm is located approx. 40 minutes south of Atlanta in McDonough, Georgia. Everything from their hours of operation to the cost of a bucket of strawberries is listed on their website.  Check it out here!

Here’s some quick advice before you go:

-Wear shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

-Be prepared to bend down as the berries are close to the ground.

-Take tons of pictures, after-all you want to have memories of moments like this, especially if you had to bribe your husband to go with you.

IMPORTANT NOTE– The berries aren’t organic and that was a pretty big let down for me. This year, I’ll be searching for an organic farm.

Do you all know of any in Georgia?

Have fun!!
